Just by being nice to people- like picking up someone’s books when they drop them- can make a difference. If you are too busy to notice what is going on around you, something needs to change. Start to see things from God’s perspective. What are some small things that make a difference? If a tiny stop light went out, imagine how many accidents we would have. If you didn’t have your smallest bone, you would lose your hearing. The itty bitty mustard seed grows into a huge tree.
Learn to be alert about what is going on around you. You may not know it, but you can open the doors for God to move, just by being kind. Why do we get so embarrassed by doing the little things for God and other people? We are called to be a part of something that is bigger than ourselves.
Have the kind of attitude where you can’t do anything but refuse to do nothing. Act like what you do makes a difference. We will always have decisions to make. If people can’t trust us with the little things how can people trust us with the big things?
Challenge: Do one thing a day out of random kindness.
